Weight Loss Update

Hi everyone!

I know that it’s been ages since I’ve posted an update on my weight loss. My life has been a whirlwind with so many changes that it’s been a hectic ride the past few months.

After a few very tough months, I made the decision to leave my job of six years. It was definitely a hard decision to make since I had been there for so long, my passion for food and weight loss was starting to take over my life – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, that I felt the need to pursue this as a career. So I decided to embark on a new journey that is taking me to a new unknown – scary, but exciting at the same time.

During this time, I would have to admit that I temporarily fell off the eating wagon for a while. Because I was suffering through a lot of stress, I wasn’t eating much – it was definitely the kind of stress that made you temporarily bulimic – whenever I ate something, I somehow would vomit it out, like my body was rejecting food. I did lose weight, but it was the kind I didn’t want to lose – an unhealthy way where I knew I would somehow gain it back once I started eating normally.  My strict regimen of 5-6 times per week workouts dwindled to either one or two workouts a week, since I was either too tired (from sleepless nights), or was just too consumed with whatever demons I was fighting in my head to focus on anything else but exercise.

Once things started to settle down, I began eating again, but it took a while to get back to eating in macros. My diet started to slip and I think I may have gained back some of the weight – luckily enough, I didn’t completely fall off the wagon, since now I’m back on track with eating right and working out 3-5 times a week.

On a more positive note, a few great things have happened since the last time added an update – I am now down to 156 pounds, bringing my total weight lost to 76 pounds! Now the picture I added doesn’t show too much of a dramatic change, but I’m now down one shirt size (from a large to a medium) and one pant size (on average, between a size 6-8, depending on the brand and pant cut). I still have about 30 pounds to go before I reach my goal, but once I stay on this wagon, I’m going to try my best to stay on as best as I can.

Also, I’ve now started to sell my macro prepackaged meals and desserts online – I’ve been working with Eat Homemade to sell my goodies in the New York City area!  Please check out my online store to see what I offer from week to week as this changes.

Besides selling my food online, I’m in the beginning stages of starting a macro meal prep service – where I would offer weekly meals and deliver a week’s worth of food in macros at a certain price.  If you live in the NYC/NJ area and you’re interested in learning more and would like to participate, please contact me via e-mail and I’d be happy to send you more details.

As you can see, my life has really been a whirlwind, but it won’t stop me from getting to where I want to go.  Setbacks will always happen in life, but the most important thing is to be experience the journey and not focus on the destination.
